Day of Reflection
From all of us on the Tree Church Daily team, we hope you have had an amazing week in your dedicated time with God. We pray that you were both challenged and encouraged by God’s word and His presence in your daily life.
Today, we want you to do something simple, yet incredibly important. Take time to answer the prompts below, either by writing in a notebook or journal, or recording a voice memo on your phone. This does not need to be profound, poetic, or polished. It is a record for you to visit later, to see and remember all that God is doing in your life. Journaling is a way to remind you of what God is speaking to you. Writing something down or speaking it out makes our thoughts tangible and holds us accountable to them. If God has challenged you or called you to do something specific this past week, making it tangible makes it real. So don’t skip today—today is about faith building, and that is what we pray happens for you.
Before you get started, take some time to pray through these prompts or begin with your own prayer, inviting the Spirit to open your heart and mind to what He wants to do today:
Spirit, bring to my mind the things You have been speaking to me all week…
Father, meet me here, speak to me now, and lead me into Your truth…
(Spend a few more minutes talking to God about what you need Him to do, or hope He will do in your time together today.)
Here are today’s prompts for you to process in your written or voice journal:
First, focus on God’s promises to you. How did God show you the love He has for you this week?
Second, focus on your current reality. What did God show you about yourself or a situation you are in this week?
Lastly, focus on a step God is challenging you to take. Did God speak something to you this week that you need to do? If so, what was it? How and when do you plan to do it?
