Take 2-3 minutes to quiet yourself and ask God to speak to you today through your devotional time.

Reading: **John 13:1-17**

Be sure to highlight or note anything that stands out to you while you read.
After reading the passage, take the next 5-10 minutes and spend time reflecting on what you read. You can write these things down in a journal or record them in your phone. Be attentive to both what you highlighted in the passage and what is going on in your life.
**
When Jesus wrapped a towel around His waist and washed His disciples' feet, He wasn't just teaching a lesson—He was establishing a new standard. God Himself, in human flesh, performed the task reserved for the lowest servant. This wasn't a one-time demonstration; it revealed the ongoing heart of God toward us. He still serves us with grace, pursues us in our brokenness, and works in our situations. Serving isn't just an activity; it's an act of worship that realigns our hearts with God's heart. When we serve, we don't just help others—we become more like Jesus. Every act of service is a declaration that we trust God's way over the world's way. Today, look for one opportunity to serve someone in a way that costs you something—time, comfort, or pride.**

Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…

1. Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you).
2. Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: **“Jesus, You knelt and washed feet. Help me to serve with humility and joy. Let my service be worship—an offering that reflects Your heart to the world.”**
3. Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today.

**Faith Steps:**

1. Do one act of service that costs you something—time, comfort, or convenience.
2. Before serving, quietly dedicate the act to God as worship, not obligation.
