The Privilege of Partnership
Take 2-3 minutes to quiet yourself and ask God to speak to you today through your devotional time.
Reading: 1 Corinthians 12:12-27
Be sure to highlight or note anything that stands out to you while you read.
After reading the passage, take the next 5-10 minutes and spend time reflecting on what you read. You can write these things down in a journal or record them in your phone. Be attentive to both what you highlighted in the passage and what is going on in your life.
You are not an optional part of the Body of Christ—you are essential. When you don't serve, the Body doesn't just adapt; it suffers. It functions like an arm in a cast—surviving but not thriving. Yet serving isn't a burden; it's a privilege. You get to partner with the Creator of the universe in loving His children and advancing His kingdom. When you stand before God, what will you offer as your life's work? Earthly achievements fade, but serving God's people echoes into eternity. Like the Amish raising a barn—when everyone contributes their part, impossible things happen. The question isn't whether the church needs you; it's whether you'll accept the honor of being used by God. Today, take one concrete step toward serving in your church or community. Don't wait for the perfect opportunity—just say yes to the next one.
Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…

Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…
- Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you).
- Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: “God, thank You for inviting me to partner with You. Show me where I am needed and give me a willing heart to say yes. Use my life for eternal impact.”
- Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today.
Faith Steps:
- Take one concrete step toward serving—sign up for a team, volunteer in your community, or talk to a leader about where you can help.
- Encourage someone else in their role of service this week, reminding them their contribution matters.
