Not My Gift, His Gift
by Tree Church Everyday on August 24th, 2026
Paul opens by telling the Corinthians he doesn't want them uninformed about what comes from the Holy Spirit — not a list of independent gifts to divide up, but grace flowing from one Spirit, one Lord, and one God who empowers it all. That distinction matters: you don't "have" a gift the way you own a possession; you have the Holy Spirit, and He makes His gifts available as He wills. Like a multi-tool that carries a knife, a saw, and pliers all in one, having the Spirit means every gift is available to you, not just the one you feel most comfortable claiming. Paul is also clear about the purpose: the Spirit's manifestation is given to each person for the common good, not for status or self-promotion. So, the goal was never to figure out which gift is "yours" and rest there, it's to stay open and available to whatever the Spirit wants to do through you, whenever He wants to do it.  Read More

Love Like Jesus Loved
by Tree Church Everyday on May 19th, 2026
Jesus gave us a "new commandment" the night before His crucifixion: love one another as He loved us. This isn't the Golden Rule (treat others as you want to be treated)—it's the Platinum Rule: love others as Jesus loved you. He washed feet knowing Judas would betray Him, knowing Peter would deny Him, knowing all would abandon Him. Yet He served anyway. How can we commit to love imperfect people? Because Jesus committed to love us while we were still sinners. Love isn't a feeling; it's a choice to pursue someone else's betterment regardless of their response. This week, identify one person in your church community who's difficult to love, and choose one action that demonstrates Christ's love toward them.  Read More

Submitting to One Another in Love
by Tree Church Everyday on March 19th, 2026
Christ's model of submission wasn't passive—it was powerfully active love. He chose to serve, to put others first, to consider their needs above His own comfort. This is the heart of mutual submission in the church. When we approach relationships asking "How can I serve?" instead of "What can I get?" we reflect Jesus. This isn't about being a doormat; it's about having the security in Christ to prioritize others. In a culture obsessed with rights and preferences, kingdom citizens surrender their rights for the sake of unity and love. Today, look for one person whose needs you can prioritize over your preferences. Whether in your family, workplace, or church, practice the strength of surrender by serving without expecting anything in return.  Read More

The Privilege of Partnership
by Tree Church Everyday on March 13th, 2026
You are not an optional part of the Body of Christ—you are essential. When you don't serve, the Body doesn't just adapt; it suffers. It functions like an arm in a cast—surviving but not thriving. Yet serving isn't a burden; it's a privilege. You get to partner with the Creator of the universe in loving His children and advancing His kingdom. When you stand before God, what will you offer as your life's work? Earthly achievements fade, but serving God's people echoes into eternity. Like the Amish raising a barn—when everyone contributes their part, impossible things happen. The question isn't whether the church needs you; it's whether you'll accept the honor of being used by God. Today, take one concrete step toward serving in your church or community. Don't wait for the perfect opportunity—just say yes to the next one.  Read More

Serving as Worship
by Tree Church Everyday on March 11th, 2026
When Jesus wrapped a towel around His waist and washed His disciples' feet, He wasn't just teaching a lesson—He was establishing a new standard. God Himself, in human flesh, performed the task reserved for the lowest servant. This wasn't a one-time demonstration; it revealed the ongoing heart of God toward us. He still serves us with grace, pursues us in our brokenness, and works in our situations. Serving isn't just an activity; it's an act of worship that realigns our hearts with God's heart. When we serve, we don't just help others—we become more like Jesus. Every act of service is a declaration that we trust God's way over the world's way. Today, look for one opportunity to serve someone in a way that costs you something—time, comfort, or pride.  Read More
