Nothing Can Separate Us.

September 25th, 2026

Take 2-3 minutes to quiet yourself and ask God to speak to you today through your devotional time.

Reading: Romans 8:31–39

Be sure to highlight or note anything that stands out to you while you read. After reading the passage, take the next 5-10 minutes and spend time reflecting on what you read. You can write these things down in a journal or record them in your phone. Be attentive to both what you highlighted in the passage and what is going on in your life.

Paul ends this passage with one of the strongest declarations of hope in Scripture: nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Trouble, suffering, danger, loss, uncertainty, and even death do not have the final word. God is for us, Jesus has given Himself for us, and the Holy Spirit is with us. We may walk through difficult seasons, but we never walk through them separated from the love of God. What would change in the way you face today if you truly believed that nothing could separate you from God’s love?

Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…

  1. Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you).
  2. Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: Jesus, help me live with confidence in Your love. When circumstances make me afraid or discouraged, remind me that nothing can separate me from You. Help me walk through every season knowing that I am held by Your love.
  3. Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today. Faith Step: Whenever you feel anxious or discouraged today, pause and say, “Nothing can separate me from the love of God.”
