Created for Relationship
Take 2-3 minutes to quiet yourself and ask God to speak to you today through your devotional time.
Reading: Genesis 1:27–31
Be sure to highlight or note anything that stands out to you while you read.
After reading the passage, take the next 5-10 minutes and spend time reflecting on what you read. You can write these things down in a journal or record them in your phone. Be attentive to both what you highlighted in the passage and what is going on in your life.
God's generosity flows from the very beginning of creation. He didn't just create you—He blessed you, provided for you, and invited you into relationship with Him. Everything you have is a gift meant to deepen your connection with the Giver. Today, resist the temptation to see God's blessings as merely things to possess. Instead, recognize them as invitations to worship. When you acknowledge God as the source of every good thing, you shift from ownership to stewardship. This changes everything—your anxiety decreases because the pressure of success rests on Him, not you. Take inventory today: What has God entrusted to you? How can these gifts draw you closer to Him rather than distract you from Him?
Do God’s gifts draw you closer to Him—or distract you from Him?
Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…

Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…
- Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you).
- Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: “God, thank You for creating me for You. Help me see every blessing as an invitation to worship.”
- Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today.
Take Action:
- Thank God for 3 specific gifts today.
- Spend 5 quiet minutes just being with Him.
