One Percent Better
Take 2-3 minutes to quiet yourself and ask God to speak to you today through your devotional time.
Reading: Colossians 3:23–24; Luke 16:10
Be sure to highlight or note anything that stands out to you while you read.
After reading the passage, take the next 5-10 minutes and spend time reflecting on what you read. You can write these things down in a journal or record them in your phone. Be attentive to both what you highlighted in the passage and what is going on in your life.
Faithfulness isn't about perfection; it's about direction. God isn't asking you to overhaul your entire life overnight. He's inviting you to take one step of obedience, to improve by just one percent in how you steward what He's given. Small acts of faithfulness in hidden places prepare you for greater trust in visible ones. When you give God priority in your morning before checking your phone, you're training your heart to seek Him first. When you give your best work as unto the Lord, you're acknowledging His ownership over your calling. When you bring Him your hardest relationships instead of just the easy ones, you're surrendering control. This week, choose one specific area—time, finances, decisions, relationships, work, or energy—and create a simple plan to manage it more faithfully. Write it down. Share it with someone. Then watch how God multiplies your faithfulness into transformation.
What small step of obedience can I take today?
Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…

What small step of obedience can I take today?
Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…
- Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you).
- Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: “God, help me be faithful in the little things.”
- Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today.
Take Action:
- Choose one small act of obedience.
- Tell someone your goal for accountability.
