The Good News We Cannot Keep Silent
Take 2-3 minutes to quiet yourself and ask God to speak to you today through your devotional time.
Reading: Romans 10:14-15; 2 Corinthians 5:20

After reading the passage, take the next 5-10 minutes and spend time reflecting on what you read. You can write these things down in a journal or record them in your phone. Be attentive to both what you highlighted in the passage and what is going on in your life.
We eagerly share recommendations for restaurants, movies, and vacation spots with friends and family. Yet when it comes to the most transformative truth—the Gospel of Jesus Christ—we often grow silent. Paul reminds us that we are ambassadors for Christ, entrusted with the message of reconciliation. The good news is that Jesus lived the perfect life we couldn't live, died the death we deserved, and rose again to offer us forgiveness and eternal life. This message holds eternal weight, far surpassing any temporary recommendation. Today, reflect on why you might hesitate to share Jesus. Ask God to give you the same enthusiasm for the Gospel that you have for lesser things. Remember: love compels us to share what matters most.

- Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you).
- Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: Lord, thank You for rescuing me and entrusting me with the message of reconciliation. Forgive me for the times I’ve stayed silent out of fear, insecurity, or distraction. Fill me with boldness and compassion. Help me see people the way You see them, and give me courage to share the good news with love and clarity.
- Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today.
Faith Steps:
- Identify one person in your life who does not know Jesus and begin praying for them by name today.
- Look for one natural opportunity this week to mention your faith, your church, or what Jesus has done in your life — even in a small way.
