Worship That Shapes Our Lives

Take 2-3 minutes to quiet yourself and ask God to speak to you today through your devotional time.  

Reading: Romans 12:1-2

Be sure to highlight or note anything that stands out to you while you read.  
After reading the passage, take the next 5-10 minutes and spend time reflecting on what you read. You can write these things down in a journal or record them in your phone. Be attentive to both what you highlighted in the passage and what is going on in your life.

Paul calls us to present our bodies as living sacrifices—this is our “true and proper worship.” Worship isn’t confined to Sunday morning music; it’s the daily offering of our whole lives to God. When we prioritize time with God, when we tithe even when money is tight, when we choose obedience over convenience—we’re worshipping.

This kind of worship transforms us, renewing our minds so we can discern God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will. The world will constantly pressure us to conform, offering counterfeit gods that promise fulfillment. But when we remove our idols and place God back in His rightful position, He directs every decision we make. True worship shapes our lives from the inside out.

What practical step can I take this week to make my entire life an act of worship to God?   

Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…  

1. Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you).  
2. Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: Father, I offer my whole life to You as an act of worship. Renew my mind, transform my heart, and guide my decisions so they reflect Your will. Let every part of my life point people to You. Help me live each day as a living sacrifice that brings You honor and glory. Amen.
   
3. Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today.  

Faith Steps:

1. Begin each morning this week by offering your day to God before anything else demands your attention. 
2. Choose one practical act of obedience today that reflects your desire to worship God with your whole life.
