A Child of God
John 1:12-13 (NLT)
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.
Just like a flashlight exposes all the obstacles in our path, being born again of God exposes all the obstacles in our spiritual journey. Take 10-15 minutes and think of anything in your life that could be a spiritual obstacle preventing you from growing closer with God. Write down those obstacles and next to each, write down the step you can take to clear them out of your spiritual way.
For many of us, our spiritual journey has its ups and downs, but it’s not how we start, it’s how we end. Here is a song that gave me encouragement every day when I was trying to figure my life out again.
