God's Perfect Timing
Take 2-3 minutes to quiet yourself and ask God to speak to you today through your devotional time.
Reading: Isaiah 55:8-9, Ecclesiastes 3:1-11
Be sure to highlight or note anything that stands out to you while you read.
After reading the passage, take the next 5-10 minutes and spend time reflecting on what you read. You can write these things down in a journal or record them in your phone. Be attentive to both what you highlighted in the passage and what is going on in your life.
God's timing often perplexes us. We may feel He's moving too quickly or too slowly, or that His directions seem illogical. But today's passages remind us that God's thoughts and ways are higher than ours. He sees the eternal perspective that we can't. Reflect on a time when God's timing seemed off to you but later proved perfect.
How can you cultivate trust in God's timing, even when it doesn't align with your expectations?
Reflect on a time when you doubted God's timing. How did the outcome ultimately display His perfect plan?
Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…

Reflect on a time when you doubted God's timing. How did the outcome ultimately display His perfect plan?
Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…
- Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you).
- Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: Lord, help me trust in Your perfect timing. When I feel impatient or discouraged, remind me that Your ways are higher than mine. Grant me peace and faith to wait on Your plans. Amen.
- Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today.
Take Action:
- Write down an area of your life where you struggle to trust God's timing and pray over it.
- Encourage someone who is waiting on God by sharing a personal testimony of His faithfulness in your life.
