Life rarely unfolds as we expect. Prayers go unanswered, loved ones suffer, dreams die. In these moments, we face a choice: deconstruct our faith or reconstruct our understanding of God. Job demanded answers for his suffering; God responded by revealing His incomprehensible power and wisdom. Sometimes God's answer to "Why?" is simply "Trust Me—I'm God and you're not." This isn't cruel; it's an invitation to worship a God bigger than our circumstances. Habakkuk chose worship even when nothing made sense: "Though the fig tree does not bud...yet I will rejoice in the Lord." God's love isn't measured by comfortable circumstances but by the cross. Our world is broken. Sin's wages are death, but God's gift is eternal life through Jesus Christ. This is the big picture: Creation, Fall, Redemption, Restoration. At the cross, we see both God's justice against sin and His mercy toward sinners—mysteries that our finite minds cannot fully reconcile. You may encounter passages that confuse or frustrate you. You might not understand every detail of God's ways or your own experiences. But you can trust the God who loved you enough to die for you. Progressive revelation means God unfolds His truth over time, with Jesus as the ultimate clarity. Today, surrender your need to understand everything. God cannot always make sense to us because His perspective is eternal. He sees the entire story while we see only one page. This reality requires trust, not complete understanding. The disciples trusted Jesus into death because the resurrection gave them hope beyond this life. They suffered the loss of all things because they knew Jesus would give them something immeasurably better. Your faith will only thrive when it's anchored in eternal hope, not temporary comfort.
