Be the Light
Matthew 5:14-16 (NASB)
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Reflection
We all cover our lamp with a basket sometimes, but to follow Jesus means we are to overcome our fears and shine bright. What is the basket in your life that keeps you from shining?
Remember singing the song "This Little Light of Mine" from your childhood? Do you remember the honest intention you had to run to your parents after Sunday school and tell them about Jesus? Strive to have that child-like faith shine bright in your adult life.
