Clarity to God’s Ways
We are purposed to set aside Sundays at Tree Church Daily as a special time to prepare our hearts and minds for fellowship, worship, and prayer. It is a day to devote to God, and to learn more about what He wants for our lives. This involves praying and actively seeking His presence as we gather together.
If you are new to prayer and still trying to understand how God speaks to us, pray along with the prayer below. Open your heart to His presence and for what God has for you today.
Let’s pray…
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your love and for meeting me where I am today. Help me to be open and accepting to what You have for me. I want to draw closer to You, Lord. I want to feel Your presence and grow in my understanding that You will always be here for me. Amen.
This week as we continue in the series The Clarity of the Cross: Finding Peace in the Mysterious Ways of God, we will look at how God’s plans for Jesus were different compared to what the religious leaders and culture expected from a Savior.
As you think about this, take a few moments to consider the following questions. You can write out your thoughts or just spend some time thinking through them.
Do you believe society and culture influence how you live your life?
As a Christian, do you sometimes struggle to find ways to live within the current culture while trying to serve God?
Close your time today talking with God about what you are feeling. You can start your prayer by simply sharing your feelings with God, or feel free to use the following prompts to help you get started. Don’t rush this process; take as much time as you need.
Father, I feel myself being pulled in many directions. Help me determine…
Holy Spirit, I want to be obedient to my Father’s will. Help me…
Stay in this posture of talking and listening to God. As you go to your time of worship and teaching at church, seek God and thank Him for His presence in your life.
