Live Without Regrets
Deuteronomy 30:19 (NIV)
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.
Reflection
Let's look at the trajectory of your current patterns. Where would your life be if you repeated today's daily decisions for the next five years? Your choices and decisions lead you somewhere, and everything you do impacts your life. Put that on repeat, day in and day out, and they will ultimately create your future reality.
The Bible talks about trajectory, the course we're on, and the direction we're going. God gives us a daily choice: life or death, blessings or curses (verse 19). Prosperity or destruction. We have a choice to change the course of our lives. Are we choosing wisely?
I love that God gives us free will, allowing us to choose our own paths. He gave us life with His great plans, but ultimately, we decide how we want to live. The world is rooting hard for you to get off course, but understand that the God who created you is fired up and is rooting for your prosperity. He's watching over you and eagerly awaiting you to choose the right path. He's waiting to guide you out of that lukewarm water and to walk with you on the path that leads to the life He designed for you. But you first have to choose it. God is incredible, but He needs your cooperation.
Everyday distractions rob us of our vision and move us forward in a fog, causing chaotic schedules and habits that wreck our lives, all while convincing us to believe one more time is okay. Going through the motions, just existing, and feeling powerless to change directions while doing the same thing on repeat to get by because it's what is easy and familiar...that's what so many of us call living, right? Here's a bit of truth: it is dangerous to continue on a bumpy path that is not moving in the direction and assume somehow the road will fix itself. Continuing detrimental habits, neglecting your responsibilities, and avoiding the truth isn't living…it's a life with regret.
But know this: there is another path - a path of prosperity. A way where the fire blazes, where you grow, develop, and get better. It's when you decide to change course. Prosperity is where you are bold, choosing to team up with God in action, and do everything possible to live up to your full potential. This is where you grab hold of the truth that you are created for more, worth more, and capable of more than you have imagined. This is a life without regrets.
Action Steps
1. Where is your potential paralyzed? How will you choose to adjust the trajectory of your life today?
2. The idea that little things don't matter is such a misconception. A little won't hurt. One day doesn't make a difference. It's not a big deal. No one will ever know. And before we know it, we're facing our days on autopilot with lukewarm faith, off course, and our trajectory off by miles. Where is the path you are on leading you? Life or death? Prosperity or destruction?
Prayer
Lord, I love You. I love Your gentle nudges to guide me to the call of my life and a life without regrets. Thank You for being my guide toward truth and for gifting me a life of prosperity and blessings. I pray this in Your holy name, amen.
