Made Alive for a New Life

Take 2-3 minutes to quiet yourself and ask God to speak to you today through your devotional time.

Reading: John 10

Be sure to highlight or note anything that stands out to you while you read.
After reading the passage, take the next 5-10 minutes and spend time reflecting on what you read. You can write these things down in a journal or record them in your phone. Be attentive to both what you highlighted in the passage and what is going on in your life.

Jesus didn’t come merely to keep us from the consequences of sin. He came to give us life. Through Him, we are brought into relationship with God and invited into a life shaped by His presence, love, direction, and purpose. This doesn’t mean life will always be easy, but it does mean we no longer have to live separated from the One who made us. As Jesus transforms us, our lives begin to reflect the new life we’ve received. The Good News changes not only our future but also how we live today.

What is one area of your life where you need to more fully live in the new life Jesus has given you?

Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…

1. Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you).
2. Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: Holy Spirit, thank You for making me alive in Christ and continuing to transform me. Help me recognize where You are at work in my life. Shape my thoughts, desires, and actions so that I increasingly reflect Jesus. Amen.

3. Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today.

Faith Step:
Identify one habit, attitude, or relationship where you can take a step toward living more fully in the life Jesus offers.
